The Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA) and Vertical Systems Reseller magazine (VSR) made the award at the RSPA's Annual Awards Dinner during the RetailNOW show in Las Vegas, NV. Magstar won for its solution, Magstar Total Retail POS, in the Specialty Retail Category award. Magstar was nominated for the award by Honeywell Scanning & Mobility (Honeywell); Magstar is an ISV partner with Honeywell.

Magstar Total Retail POS incorporated age verification into the solution thus allowing their specialty liquor, wine and beverage clients to instantly and easily comply with age verification laws at the point-of-sale. Magstar's Total Retail POS solution has enabled specialty retail stores, liquor and convenience stores, as well as small grocery stores, to scan and complete transactions for age-restricted products. Total Retail POS also capably tracks inventory and provides retailers with a simple, cost-effective yet full featured solution using Honeywell's Genesis™ 7580 scanners with the EasyDL™ software plug-in (www.honeywell.com; www.honeywellnow.com).
